Dear MANRS Participants, Our first face-to-face Community Meeting for 2.5 years will be held during RIPE 85 on Tuesday, 25 October 2022 (12.30-14.00) in Lavender Room (to the right of the Main Room) at the Metropol Palace Hotel, Belgrade, Serbia (see https://ripe85.ripe.net/venue/meeting-venue/ <https://ripe85.ripe.net/venue/meeting-venue/>) - This is an opportunity for MANRS participants to meet and contribute to the development of the MANRS initiative, but the meeting is also open to anymore so please come and join us. The agenda is as follows: 1) MANRS Update & Future Plans – Kevin Meynell (ISOC) 2) MANRS+ – Andrei Robachevsky (ISOC) 3) MANRS Observatory & Tools – Max Stucchi (ISOC) 4) Q&A We’d also like to highlight that there will be a MANRS-led discussion on the problems of bogons during the BCOP Task Force session. Call for Working Group Participation: MANRS+

Hello - MANRS is looking for volunteers to join a new working group to explore the idea of creating a second, elevated tier of MANRS participation for organizations that comply with more stringent requirements and auditing. We’re calling this MANRS+ at the moment, though that’s only a working title. MANRS has traditionally been focused on peer-to-peer relationships, but we believe generating customer demand could be a powerful driving force for better routing security. If we can enhance the business case, customers will demand better routing security of their network connectivity providers and providers will ensure they’re following best practices and staying in compliance with the MANRS actions that stop routing security incidents. Roll out of the conformance reporting

Dear MANRS Participant, During the last MANRS Community meeting (20 October 2021), we mentioned that we were planning to publish monthly conformance reports for each MANRS participant, and to help improve the quality of the data in the MANRS Observatory. The MANRS Steering Committee has reviewed and approved this plan, so we now happy to announce this service is ready for deployment in April. At the beginning of each month, the primary MANRS contact for your organization will receive an email containing a conformance report for the previous month. The conformance report email will list your current MANRS Readiness Scores for the previous calendar month and give you an indication of whether the score has increased or decreased. It will also summarize any non-compliance incidents we have detected. If you see any incidents, please help us improve the data quality within the MANRS Observatory by clicking the link titled "Verify Incidents” and providing feedback on any detected incidents. The email contains a link at the bottom where you can opt out of receiving any more conformance reports via email. Once you’ve clicked on the link, you just need to click the button to confirm you no longer want to receive these reports. If you would like other people within your organisation to receive these reports, or have any other feedback about them, please let us know via https://www.manrs.org/about/contact/.
