On April 28, in Charlotte (United States), Leslie Daigle (GCA) offered a keynote address at the ARIN 55 event in which she mentioned MANRS in the wider context of GCA’s work with the infrastructures of the Internet. A summary of that keynote and a direct link to it can be found here.
In São Paulo (Brazil), during the LACNIC 43 conference (May 5-9), MANRS was featured again, this time by Erika Vega Valenzuela (MANRS Steering Committee) and Guillermo Cicileo (LACNIC), who offered a tutorial on BGP security, available here (in Spanish).
From May 12-16, a delegation of GCA representatives participated at the RIPE 90 conference in Lisbon (Portugal). Andrei Robachevsky offered an update on the MDP to the RIPE community, and Leslie Daigle demonstrated the importance of MANRS for GCA’s Internet Integrity work. MANRS and routing security were also presented at other sessions of the conference, including this one by the European Commission, in which the MANRS Community was invited to join the Commission’s Multi-Stakeholder Forum on Internet Standards Deployment.
On May 21, the MANRS Community gathered for its first virtual meeting of the year, which ran in two sessions as is customary. The sessions were lively, with two very different blocks of community updates. We encourage you to watch the recordings: Session East / Session West.
From May 17-June 7, the Internet Society, in collaboration with Internet Exchange Services Yucatán and LAC Digital Academy, offered a training course on MANRS at the Universidad Técnica Metropolitana de Mérida, in Mérida (Mexico). A summary of it is available here.
