(Apologies for duplication) Hello all, The NRO RPKI Program [1] has published a blog post explaining the proposed solution to concerns with the current RPKI Trust Anchor configuration, now documented in the Internet-Draft https://www.ietf.org/archive/id/draft-nro-sidrops-ta-constraints-00.txt The draft defines a mechanism that allows RPKI Trust Anchors (TAs) to declare which TA is authoritative for which Internet Number Resources, helping prevent RPKI validation conflicts. Your Quarterly Update on All Things MANRS, October 2025Time to Vote! Voting is now open for three (3) available seats on the MANRS Steering Committee. There are nine candidates standing for election this year, and each brings valuable experience, perspective, and commitment to strengthening our shared mission of improved routing security. If you did not receive a ballot, please contact us as soon as possible. Voting opened on 28 October 2025 at 00:01 UTC and will close on 30 October 2025 at 23:59 UTC – which means you still have time if you’re reading this newsletter right as it comes out! Community Growth - 27 new participants joined the initiative this quarter — 25 network operators, 1 IXP, and 1 CDN/cloud provider. Together, they represent 13 countries from all five RIR regions. Welcome! - Our current total is now 1,282 participants — 1,092 network operators, 151 IXPs, 33 CDN and cloud providers, and 6 equipment vendors. In our interconnected ecosystem, growth is everybody’s business. Your MANRS participation won’t be fully effective until you have all your peers and clients on board too. So, send them over! Become our source of growth! New Resources… and a Call for Action Last quarter, the MANRS community approved the new Charter <https://manrs.org/about/governance/community-charter/> with a large majority (77%) <https://manrs.org/2025/07/updated-manrs-community-charter/> voting in favor. This quarter, we’re finishing the MANRS Steering Committee election for three new members. This was based on the findings of research into GCA’s AIDE data platform <https://globalcyberalliance.org/?s=apnic60> conducted in advance of Leslie Daigle’s keynote address at the APNIC 60 meeting in Da Nang (Vietnam) <https://blog.apnic.net/2025/09/10/keynotes-at-apnic-60-leslie-daigle-and-vu…> . - On September 15, SIDN Labs presented the MANRS+ Testbed <https://manrs.org/2025/09/manrs-assessing-the-feasibility-of-routing-securi…>, a new resource to assess the feasibility of routing security compliance tests in the framework of the MANRS+ Working Group <https://manrs.org/about/manrs-working-group/>. This project will be featured at the upcoming MANRS Community Meeting on November 12. - On October 16, the Number Resource Organization (NRO) presented the progress of its NRO RPKI Program with a new centralized resource to create Route Origin Authorizations (ROAs) <https://manrs.org/2025/10/a-new-nro-resource-for-network-operators-working-…> through each of the five Regional Internet Registries (RIRs). This project will also be featured in the Community Meeting on November 12. MANRS in the Community The third quarter of the year is, traditionally, the calmest in terms of traveling for most of us. LAST REMINDER: The nomination period of the upcoming MANRS Steering Committee election finishes on Friday!

Dear all: Just a final reminder about the closing of the nomination period for the renewal of three seats of the Steering Committee that will become vacant at the end of this year. If you are planning to run for election, *you can submit your nomination until next Friday, 17 October 2025, at 23:59 UTC*. We have four candidates so far. The higher the number of nominations, the better chances we will have to have a more diverse Steering Committee, which will benefit us all. *Remember that everyone is eligible to serve on the Steering Committee— MANRS participation is not required.* Once the nomination process is complete, we will move to the next step: voting. *MANRS participants will vote online from 28 – 30 October 2025*. Each participant may submit one ballot. The process to create a ROA through each RIR portal

(Apologies for duplicates) Hi all, The NRO has just published a new reference page: https://www.nro.net/technical-coordination/nro-rpki-program/joint-rpki-base… This page brings together direct links to each RIR’s official documentation for creating Route Origin Authorisations (ROAs) through their portals and summarises some differences across the RIRs. Why this matters: * This page gives operators a single place to find the correct entry point, no matter which RIR(s) you hold resources with. * It also helps compare the different processes across RIRs without having to search separately. The aim is to keep the RIR websites as the source of truth while providing a convenient overview in one place. Dear all: I have an important technical update from our Engineering team, especially relevant for our active MANRS Observatory users: *Due to an unexpected issue with one of our core MANRS Observatory databases, our data for June – September lacked correct RPKI/ROA information.
