MANRS Development Process Proposal: Review of the Network Operators Program
by Nick Hilliard (INEX) May 21, 2026

May 21, 2026
Dear MANRS Community, Following the recently published community survey on the future of the MANRS Actions, the Steering Committee is pleased to announce the initiation of the MANRS Development Process (MDP) to review the MANRS Network Operators Program. As part of this process, we are forming a dedicated MANRS Network Operators Program Review Working Group (NetOpsRev WG) to assess and evolve the MANRS Actions in line with community feedback and the evolving routing security landscape. Participation in the Working Group is open to all interested individuals, including network operators, security experts, researchers, and other stakeholders. You do not need to be a current MANRS participant to join. A draft charter is available <https://manrs.org/about/network-operators-program-review-working-group/>, and the group’s first task will be to review, revise, and finalize it. We invite you to contribute your expertise to this important effort. If you are interested in participating, please contact the MANRS Secretariat by email at secretariat(a)manrs.org before May 1, 2026, providing a brief background about yourself, your current role, and relevant experience or interest in routing security. We look forward to your engagement in shaping the next evolution of MANRS. You can find the full MDP proposal here: *         Proposal URL: https://manrs.org/proposals/19444/ * Proposal Name: Review of the Network Operators Program * Specification Type: Normative *         Proposal Type: Update Best regards, MANRS Steering Committee

Dear MANRS Community members: *Next Monday, May 11, at 14:00 – 15:00*, the chairs of the MANRS+ Working Group <https://manrs.org/about/manrs-working-group/>, Andrei Robachevksy (GCA) and Matt Davy (Visa), will participate at a webinar hosted by eco – Association of the Internet Industry under the topDNS Best Practice Series. You have all the details in the link below: *Managing Internet Routing as a Supply Chain Risk <https://international.eco.de/event/topdns-best-practice-series-beyond-the-p…>* The webinar, which elaborates on the work of MANRS+ and anticipates the concept of MANRS Enterprise that we presented at our latest Community Meeting is designed for CISOs and network leaders looking to close a critical gap in their supply chain security strategy and improve their service provider management, recognizing that routing security remains one of the most significant blind spots in enterprise and critical infrastructure cybersecurity.
